Cluj – Hey FC, this is a video I made at the derby last thursday, between the 2 big rivals in Cluj-Napoca. This video is from the box where the away fans are. The fans of Universitatea Cluj-Napoca. I will tell you something now about this Derby. CFR Cluj is a newly formed team. It is the Champion of Romania in the last 2 years. Universitatea Cluj (“U”) is one of the oldest teams in Romania, formed in 1919. The derby lasts for allmost 100 years and it is a great rivality between the teams and the fans. I myself am part of the “U” fans, and there are lots of conflicts but also, at the matches it is a true spectacle. It is a joy to see the coregraphy of the fans. Also, the fans from “U” are the most nationalists fans in Romania and that is why they also bring flags of Romania at every match, and sing the anthem and stuff like that.

red: Om misverstanden te voorkomen. De door ons vaak gebruikte slogan “Support Your Local” heeft, wat FC betreft, niets met nationalisme van doen. En met het Keltische kruisspandoek (of hoe heet dat) hebben we ook helemaal niets. Maar verder zijn die buitenlandse supportermailtjes altijd extra leuk.
