Rusland – Kunst. Hebben we een haat-liefde verhouding mee. Vaak vinden we shit gewoon te pretentieus. En met pretentieus moet je bij de FootballCulture-boys niet aankomen. Gaan we steigeren. Maar sommige kunst is gewoon keihard. Zeker als “men” zegt dat je ding geen kunst is, maar vandalisme. Dan wordt het interessant. Wij zijn dan ook groot fan van de Russische VOINA. Zie een eerdere post hierzo. En ook bovenstaande footballhooliganartclip vinden we bruut én inspirerend.
Op de site van Wired staat een boeiend interview met 1 van de groepsleden (die overigens vastzit…). “Voina are the kind of people who walk into a museum and have an unsolicited orgy, or make an international art show by flipping over police cars. They manipulate the media and toy with liberalism in a way that can be heard above the din coming from the massive revolution(s) occurring in the Middle East and Africa. Voina’s art is appropriate for this time, whereas almost all other art is not.”
Update: Oh toeval. De twee gasten die vastzaten, zijn afgelopen vrijdag op borgtocht vrijgekomen.
